Who is responsible

What I collect
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, I receive:
- your name and email address
- the date of your event and the service you are interested in
- your message and anything you choose to include in it
- which language version of the site you used
If you contact me by phone, WhatsApp, Viber, Instagram or Facebook instead, I receive whatever you send through that service, and that service’s own privacy policy applies to it.
To protect the form from spam, the server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address together with the time you sent the form, and uses it only to limit repeated sending within 10 minutes. Like every website, the hosting server also keeps standard technical access logs (IP address, pages visited, browser type) for a limited time, for security.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and to prepare and carry out your appointment. This is necessary to take steps at your request before we agree on a booking (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the contact form and website secure and free of spam, which is my legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
I don’t use your details for newsletters, advertising or profiling, and I never sell them or pass them on to anyone for their own purposes.
Who else handles it
Enquiries from the contact form are delivered by email to my Gmail inbox, so they are stored by Google as my email provider. The website runs on a hosting provider’s servers, which process the form and the access logs. Both act only on my behalf. Google may process data outside the EU, with the safeguards the GDPR requires.
How long I keep it
I keep your enquiry for as long as I need it to answer you and, if you book, to carry out your appointment and any follow-up. After that it is deleted, unless the law requires me to keep certain records (for example for invoicing and tax), in which case they are kept for the period the law sets.
Cookies and content from other sites
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Two things on it are loaded from Google:
- the fonts, from Google Fonts: your browser connects to Google’s servers, which see your IP address;
- the map in the contact section, embedded from Google Maps, which may set Google’s own cookies.
Google’s privacy policy applies to these: policies.google.com/privacy. Links to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, WhatsApp and Viber are ordinary links, and nothing is shared with those services unless you click through.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data I hold about you
- have it corrected if it is wrong
- have it deleted
- restrict or object to how it is used
- receive it in a portable format
To use any of these rights, just email beautystudiohvar@gmail.com. I will reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Croatian data protection authority, the Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP): azop.hr.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
